Terms of Service
Last updated July 24, 2026.
By using Sommont, you agree to use the service for lawful personal wine journaling, palate tracking, and recommendation workflows. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract to use Sommont. Because Sommont concerns wine and alcohol preferences, users in the United States must be at least 21 years old and users elsewhere must be of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. The service is not directed to children under 13.
Service
Sommont provides a private web journal and Luca, a ChatGPT companion that can save and retrieve wine tasting information when connected to your account. Sommont does not sell alcohol, process alcohol orders, verify product availability, or guarantee that a recommendation can be lawfully purchased or consumed in your location.
Subscriptions
Paid access is managed through Stripe. Subscription terms, pricing, renewal period, cancellation terms, taxes, and invoices are shown during checkout and in the billing portal. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal. We may change pricing or plan features prospectively, with notice where required by law.
User Content
You are responsible for tasting notes, bottle details, images, and other content you submit. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted images or images of people without appropriate permission. You grant Sommont a limited license to host, store, process, display, and transmit your content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.
Wine Guidance
Sommont recommendations are informational and preference-based. They are not professional, medical, legal, financial, or health advice. Drink responsibly, do not drink if you are under the legal drinking age, and do not rely on Sommont for decisions about alcohol safety, medical conditions, pregnancy, medication interactions, driving, or compliance with local alcohol laws.
AI Features
Luca and other AI-assisted features may generate incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable output. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it. Sommont may process your prompts, tasting notes, bottle details, and images with AI platform providers to provide requested features.
Account Security and Connected Clients
You are responsible for safeguarding your account, authentication methods, and connected MCP clients. Notify support if you believe your account or connected client has been compromised. You may review connected clients from the account page.
Prohibited Uses
Do not use Sommont to violate law, encourage underage or unsafe alcohol consumption, upload unlawful or harmful content, attempt to access another user's data, reverse engineer private APIs, bypass entitlements or rate limits, scrape the service, or interfere with service security or availability.
Availability and Changes
Sommont may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create legal, security, or operational risk. We aim to preserve private journal data, but the service is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability.
Disclaimers and Liability
Sommont is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these terms and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages except where such limits are not allowed by law.
Support
For billing, access, privacy, or account questions, contact support.
